"Forgive me Father, I didn't know what I was doing" is a cry we've told God one way or another. Romans 10:10 says, "the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." In 1 John 1:9, we find comfort: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Echoing Jesus' words on the cross, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do".
Each of us has felt the weight of our shortcomings, flaws and ignorance. With the realization of our sin, we have sought God's forgiveness.
Practice worship and praying to God daily. Let this be a reminder of our reliance on faith, confession, and the boundless forgiveness that defines our Christian journey.
